Number One is back

Not all lollipops are Chupa-Chups nor are all chest awnings Storbox. There are products that have been able to give a name to the product category of which they are pioneers. At Llaza World we know very well what it means to be the first and we continue to feel very proud that even today many awning installers continue to refer to box awnings as a storbox.

It was 1993 when we launched the first box awning on the market and the impact of its launch was tremendous. This innovation was the result of joint work between in-house technicians, international engineering and design studios. It took many months of technical testing, versions, numerous drafts and sketches to find the perfect formula: high technology, innovative aesthetics, strength, reliability and new functionalities. Number 1 was born, the box awning called Storbox, an ideal name that describes the product and is perfect for international marketing.

To disseminate this product at an industrial level, the corresponding catalogues, advertisements and presentations at fairs were made. It was also decided to make it known directly to the end consumer to connect them with their needs, supporting the installation companies. In this way Storbox was also the first box awning that, thanks to the manufacturer, appeared in the media aimed at the general public: decoration magazines, gossip magazines and even television spots.

The first advertisement in the press managed to attract attention with the headline: “When you discover the Storbox box you will not want to hear about any other type of awning”, emphasizing the competitive advantage of the product over double protection.

It was the first time that a manufacturer made investments in 'Mass media' to generate 'pull' demand and benefit awning companies. In this sense, Storbox contributed to strengthening the links in the value chain.

Many campaigns revolved around this unique product that protected better than any other awning. Summers could no longer be imagined without the advertisements that were happening for the Storbox chest.

The first Storbox carried the surname '300' and from this base the range was expanded with models suitable to cover all types of dimensional needs.

 

Storbox S-300

In 2018, the side covers of the product were updated so that they could be made of aluminum. In this way, Llaza became the first manufacturer brand with all its box awnings in a completely metallic finish.

During the years of the pandemic Storbox-300 was eclipsed with the release of the Storbox-400, a version that reaches outputs up to 4 meters and that integrates another LED lighting and regulation system. Even with these advances, many customers showed some 'anger' when they saw that we eliminated the 300 model from the catalog, which they valued, knew and installed for almost 30 years and which continued to be in demand. Llaza risked a lot with this maneuver to innovate and renew itself. The switch to the Storbox-400 went well and customers soon fell in love with the new addition to the range. There is no doubt about the success achieved by this model; Just look at social networks and see them flooded with spectacular installations made by great professionals.

What has Llaza's restless soul been up to since that moment? Well, continue with new projects and preparing for the next milestone. And among several options, a very challenging one for the 2022-2023 campaign:

The project: “Number 1 is back”.
