Taking into account that going around the sun involves traveling 930 million kilometers, it may seem reckless that it is possible to do it in just one year. It is even more impressive knowing that our planet Earth is moving at an average speed of 107.000 kilometers per hour to meet the committed deadline of 365 days and 6 hours. Well, in LLAZA, this 2024, we complete 60 revolutions around the Sun or, which is the same, 55.800 billion kilometers.
60 years of innovation and growth mark the path of LLAZA. From our humble beginnings in 1964 as TALLERES LLAZA, the first company dedicated to the manufacture of mechanisms for awnings in Spain, to becoming a world leader in the manufacture of sun protection, we have been on a journey of constant evolution and achievements.
From the first articulated arms in Spain to revolutionary designs such as the Storbox, which marked a milestone by presenting the world's first box awning, our history is marked by the constant search for excellence and innovation. Our commitment to quality led us to develop pioneering systems, such as the chain-free and cable-free tension system, which remains a distinctive standard in the market.
Over the decades we have consolidated our international presence, founding subsidiaries and expanding our range of products. From the expansion of LLAZA FRANCE in 1990 to our constant participation in key sector fairs such as the R+T in Stuttgart where, edition after edition, we present cutting-edge innovations within the sun protection sector, LLAZA has always opted for internationalization. Currently LLAZA products are marketed to more than 75 countries on 5 continents. Perseverance, the will to serve and the continuous search for quality have been the main drivers that have kept alive a brand that has not always had the wind in its favor. Even so, LLAZA has managed to be a brand with great international recognition.
In the last 10 years, with the support of the Recasens Group, we have strengthened
our position, improving our products and establishing strategic alliances that have placed us as leaders in the manufacture of invisible arms and awnings with a box system. This evolution has allowed us to offer a wide range of advanced solutions for sun protection, both for our brand and for international manufacturers.
The last great milestone of which we are especially proud is the creation of HABITAT LLAZA, offering the best solutions for outdoor spaces with the most innovative design and the greatest comfort, with a product range made up of a careful selection of bioclimatic pergolas, pergolas tensioned, perimeter enclosures and ceiling systems.
Beyond technical innovation, our greatest achievement lies in the durability and satisfaction that our products provide. Seeing awnings and pergolas with decades of use, still functioning perfectly, is a testament to our commitment to quality and excellence.
But our greatest pride is not only in our products, but in the lasting relationships we have built with our customers and collaborators over these 60 years. We have shared moments of success and challenges together, turning obstacles into opportunities and growing together. We are a large family of currently more than 200 people, all of them without exception are a key piece in the gear that drives us to meet our objectives.
